Good morning neighbors,
What an exciting time to be a Democrat!!! I am so happy to see Kamala running at the top of the ticket!!!
Let’s work together to help her win!!!

Now on to our local news.

You should have gotten your primary ballots by now. If not, please contact the county ASAP to get yours. CCD has had several general membership meetings to figure out who to support in the primary. Ive got a list of our endorsements down below. My personal favorites are Dave Upthegrove, Eric Pickens, and Emily Randall. I have had a chance to meet all three multiple times and talk to them. They impressed me!

If you would like to meet some candidates yourself, you still can. CCD is having a fundraiser to meet the candidates on August 1 at 6PM at Olympic Cellars. The complete flyer for this event is attached to this email.

Did you know that you are paying more to support the pool than you are to support our local hospital? Sadly, OMC has been struggling financially, so their board has proposed a tax levy to help them keep our hospital solvent, up to date, and most importantly -here!!! Please help ensure we continue to enjoy having a local hospital and vote to support this tax levy.

If you’d like an easy way to help any of our candidates or causes, please join us to wave signs at 1st and Lincoln from 3-4PM every Friday. It is great to get a lot of friendly waves, honks, and thumbs ups. It’s even nicer to give a friendly wave and smile to the folks that don’t agree with us – yet!-)

Another great way to get involved is to walk with us in the Joyce Daze Parade on Saturday, August 3. I had a great time in the PA July 4th parade. I’ll never forget the joy of giving high fives to a long line of laughing little kids! To join us for more parade fun, be at the Joyce high school no later than 11:30AM. While you’re there, get some blackberry pie and some delicious salmon!!!

This coming weekend is the 30th anniversary of the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. To celebrate, they will be having events this weekend. Two events that stand out are a film festival at Field Hall this Friday, July 28 from 5-9PM, and ocean themed activities at Pebble Beach this Saturday from 10AM-2PM. Hope to see you there!

Thought you’d like to know that the North Olympic Land Trust is having a free potluck picnic at Olympic Cellars, Sunday July 28 at 1PM. They’ll have music from the Sweater Weather String Band, info about the land trust, Welly’s Ice Cream, and , of course, Olympic Cellars wine! Click here to learn more or to RSVP.

As always, I hope you have found this helpful. Please let me know what I can do to improve this email, join me at some of these events, and please have your friends sign up to help build our community.
Thank you very much,
Paul Kolesnikoff
